Ideal candidates for breast fat transferBefore the procedure, your surgeon will check your body type, health history, and goals to determine if you are an ideal candidate. In general, you can have the procedure if:You’re not satisfied with the size and shape of your breasts. You’re not pregnant. You’re not breastfeeding. You have an increased amount of fat in other body areas. You had surgical removal of your breasts as a treatment for breast cancer. You want to enhance your breast appearance after the removal of breast implants. You have realistic expectations. The breast fat transfer procedureThe procedure has 3 steps:Fat harvesting: During this procedure, your surgeon will apply local anaesthesia to the target area to prevent any discomfort. Once the anaesthesia has taken effect, your surgeon will remove fat from the abdomen, hips, or thighs. Fat is harvested by inserting a thin hollow tube that sucks the fat out in the area. This process is known as liposuction.Fat purification and transfer: Your surgeon will use a spinning device known as a centrifuge to process the fat. This removes any impurities from the harvested fat. Your surgeon will then transfer the fat into small syringes to prepare it for injection.Fat placement: Your surgeon injects a needle into the breast area that needs volume replacement. The needle is passed in and out of the target area multiple times to deposit the fat. The procedure is repeated until your desired results are achieved. To know more about the process of fat grafting, you can check our fat transfer to breast main page, or contact us to book a consultation.Ask a question or book your consultationPlease fill in the online enquiry form to ask a question or book your consultation.
