Anti-ageing habits to pick up in your 20’s

Skin Care in Your 20’s

Many people do not think of wrinkles and crows’ feet in their 20’s. Why should they? At this time in your life, your skin is likely looking better than ever! You may have grown out of teen acne and the thought of anti-ageing treatments such as Botox do not even cross your mind. Even if you are currently loving the skin you’re in, taking great care of it will ensure that the ageing process comes to you more gracefully rather than hitting you like a ton of bricks!

Invest in at least one quality product

Your skincare routine does not need to be overly complicated or cost an absolute fortune. However, investing in at least one high quality product can make the world of difference. At Sculpted, we stock a wide range of luxurious cosmeceuticals. Cosmeceutical products have medicinal benefits and penetrate to the deeper layers of your skin providing better results. It is common knowledge that the sun is one of the biggest culprits when it comes to ageing your skin. Try to reduce your sun exposure to keep your skin looking youthful. You should also opt for a moisturiser and/or makeup product that include SPF in their formulas to provide your skin with protection against the sun’s ageing effects.

Wash your face instead of relying on makeup wipes

Makeup wipes are a great quick fix – particularly if you are on the go. But you should rather make time to wash your face when you come home from a long day at work or a night out. We shed 50 million skin cells a day and if you don’t wash and exfoliate, then all of the other steps you’re taking are not going to penetrate your skin. The dead skin cells are going to sit on your face like a layer of dust that even the best facial moisturiser cannot fix.

You should attempt to get at least seven hours of sleep every night. Your skin repairs itself as you sleep and so ensuring that you are getting enough shut-eye will have a direct effect of the brightness of your skin. To better improve the anti-ageing effects of sleep, apply an anti-ageing serum before you go to bed.
