Brow Lifts
A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is used to treat drooping eyebrows. Age and genetics are the two main reasons why eyebrows become droopy. As facial tissues begin to decline, your face can appear irritated, exhausted, and aged. Not only can a brow lift alter your appearance but it can also treat a particularly pesky problem sometimes caused by drooping brows: their tendency to encroach on your vision. By repositioning the eyebrows and forehead muscles, the brows are lifted and tightened, forming a firmer forehead and brow free of wrinkles.
Possible outcomes of a brow lift
Having a brow lift provide the following outcomes:
- Tightened brows and forehead
- Smoother complexion
- Brightened facial appearance
- Line and wrinkle reduction
- Eyebrow style and curves retained
- Remedied vision impairments caused by drooping skin
When should I consider a brow lift?
Some patients may need a brow lift due to a neurologic problem (such as Bells Palsy) or trauma (injury to the brow or forehead). You may consider undergoing a brow lift if:
- Your eyelids feel heavy all the time
- Your peripheral vision is blocked
- You look angry all of the time
- You feel like you look more aged than you actually are
A brow lift can be performed as a standalone procedure or coupled with another procedure such as a facelift (used to treat the lower half of your face).
